From the action-packed sequence that they shot in the first few minutes to the prison scenes and car chase scenes, things were delivered really well by him. He's absolutely brilliant and is obviously the real MVP of the show.

Rewatch Value 9.0 This was the first of anything I saw Ji Chang Wook in because it's the only movie to-date in which he's the lead. That's right I watched a version lacking subs and what subs there were were poorly timed AND I still recommend it! I hope that Netflix gets it soon so there can be actual subs timed correctly. I don't remember any actual songs, but, to be honest, one would have been out of place. It helped at excitement and tension at the right places. They had chemistry, whether be it friendly or hatred. Woo Hyun also has a small weird role that fit him perfectly. The cast has some of my favorite Korean character/supporting actors like Oh Jung Se (recently in Missing 9), Kim Sang Ho (Missing 9, TEN), and Kim Won Hae (currently seen in Strong Woman DBS). JCW did a very good job as Kwon Yoo, especially once he realized he needed to toughen up and protect himself to survive. Because of that I found the story somewhat original. His team come from behind their computers to help prove his innocence. The production team did a very good job introducing the game and the real world. Honestly, I thought this would be on the level of certain animes that have people possibly stuck in their games like BTOOM! or even Log Horizon. There is a fantastic scene that takes place in the game. He is the chief or leader of a raid party in what appears to be his favorite MMO. Like most NEETs he spends most of his day playing online MMOs. In a nutshell, Freeter/NEET (whatever you want to call him) Kwon Yoo finds himself beautifully set up for a murder. I found the prison scenes especially surprising. If Ji Chang Wook, was trying to rid himself of the pretty boy image in order to move into meatier roles, he certainly found the right vehicle. It is a lot more grittier and realistic than I expected.

FC is nothing like I thought it might be from reading the description. I love action movies and really good chase scenes. In my personal opinion, this film is deserving to see at least once so give it a chance! Visually the fight scenes were okay but the graphics of some of the scenes were not good. Overall, I did like the idea, the plot and the acting. The idea of fighting in dark using rice was good but the execution and visual side of it was not so much considering the film was shot in 2017 when high-end technology was already available. There were moments that felt overly dramatic - for example when Kwon Yoo is in prison and learns martial arts within weeks or during an unknown period considering his time in prison was not told.

I could not feel the chemistry the actors were trying to portray. The actors also did a good job, however, the whole relationship between Kwon Yoo and Yeo Wool felt rushed and not authentic. I could say it did resemble Hollywood's "Double Jeopardy" with Ashley Judd or the recent Korean drama "One Ordinary Day" with Kim Soo Hyun. An innocent person is framed for a murder he/she did not commit. This review may contain spoilers The plot of this film is really intriguing.
